Troop 787 is a large and very active troop with a full year round program. Includes monthly themed camp-outs, 2 summer camps and 3 high adventure trips annually.
The troop number was derived from the month and year when the troop was formed, July 1987.
Over time, 787 has had a great track of awesome adult volunteers who have led by example to build this troop into one of the premier troops in Central Florida Council.
Fortunately over the years we’ve had up to 23 active dad’s who are Eagle Scouts themselves. This means a nucleus of leaders have lived the program and understand its virtues and are giving back to the scouts who are walking the scouting trail. This foundation is one of the reasons for the success of Troop 787.
High Adventure
Every summer we provide opportunities for older scouts (age 14 and above ) to participate in at least one high adventure trek.
